Our Philosophy

Life is a magical opportunity for healing and creation. The Universe is powered by love, a sense of wholeness, that signifies the purpose and connection that exits between all beings in the web of life. Nature shows us the way to restore harmony and nurture beauty in a way that aligns with life's purpose. We believe each human being has a sacred calling to dissolve limitations, discover their God-given gifts and freely express them in cooperation with others. This perspective is also called Syntropy or quantum mechanics and makes up the foundational lens of Soul to Soil, a private membership club for students ages 2-15 yrs.

Syntropy, nature's lens, highlights the idea that everything performs a function with purpose. As such, the challenging state of our world offers an opportunity for all heart-led human beings: to restore sovereignty by learning to support ourselves, connect with nature and heal from accumulated trauma patterns.

At Soul to Soil (S2S) our mission is to share fascinating nature-led concepts, creative opportunities and practical life skills that support heart-minded students as they navigate a world designed largely in opposition of Nature. In the face of challenging societal and personal circumstances, our program teaches students to focus on resiliency and compassion over the victimhood, judgment, negativity and despair that pervades the messaging in conventional education and mainstream culture.

This is Soul to Soil. We are so happy your journey brought you here. With warm hearts and open arms, we welcome you.

Our Unique Rhythm

The Soul to Soil calendar runs in a different cadence than conventional schooling. The total program length is 30 weeks, August-May, offered in six 5-week segments with two week breaks in between. This is an important feature to consider before applying to the program. Please see our calendar to view the dates of our learning days and events.

Visual and Performing Arts Focus

At Soul to Soil, we LOVE to explore the sciences and humanities through the lens of Syntropy. Our lessons are brought to life and become unforgettable when we rewrite lyrics to popular songs and transform well-known stories to express new paradigm-shifting viewpoints in relatable, fun ways. This year, we are thrilled to devote Wednesdays to this pursuit. Students can choose a visual or performing arts track, preparing for live plays with vocal, dance and acting training or sharing the stories through cartooning/drawing and craft.

Syntropic learning in action

Our founding story

Breaking free from fear and the illusion of safety

We were enrolled in conventional schooling with no plans to change. And then came 2020. For some, it was a disastrous year. For me, it was the year of PERFECT VISION. In the midst of overwhelm, trying to navigate online schooling for my sons, I began to reevaluate my views on education. I asked myself, "What do I want out of their school experience?" The answer that came to me was ENTIRELY different than what the conventional school system offered. Having spent 20+ guiding others in navigating health, I turned to my skills in spiritual and emotional development to tend to my own fears and doubt. Once the dust settled, I created something beyond anything I could have imagined and found other passionate, inner child-led souls to join me in sharing our gifts and supporting students who wish to live free and in connection with their soul's purpose. If you are fearful of leaving the school system but feel called to provide a stronger foundation than bias-driven, politically-charged institutional learning, our program Soul to Soil was designed for YOU and your family.

Is Soul to Soil a science program?

With all this talk of nature and energy, we are often asked about whether we are a SCIENCE program. The answer is that Soul to Soil is a WHOLE-istic learning experience. Reading, writing, math, grammar, art, music, public speaking, vocabulary, foreign language, poetry recitation, storytelling, cooking and creative and natural movement are all tools we use to explore our lessons. These subjects are functionally integrated into our activities rather than taught compartmentally as is common in conventional education.

Part of the beauty of homeschooling is that each family can customize the students' learning outside of Soul to Soil days to the educational priorities that align most. In our program, the value is reflected as much in the WAY we teach as it is in the fascinating subjects that make up WHAT we teach. All lessons are designed to spark curiosity and nurture self-confidence so that learning becomes a treasure rather than a requirement. To learn more about the topics and structure of our learning days, please see our program guide.

What does Soul to Soil teach?

Our teachings focus on social, emotional and self development throughout the learning process, filtering all concepts through the lens of Nature and aligning all ideas and activities with the universal concepts of love, beauty and connection. We are not a religious program by an means, however, everything we do honors and reflects a Divine relationship with God/Source/Creator.

We nurture innate curiosity by guiding students to discover their capacity to learn and create with the power of nature's mechanics. Lessons range from navigating social and emotional relationships (within the self and with others) through LOTS of play and movement; practicing communication and language skills through performing arts and poetry; engaging in experiential study, stewardship and scientific inquiry in natural environments; and finally trying out new skills while building coordination, perseverance and self-determination.

Will my student need more than what Soul to Soil offers?

Our students engage in what we consider a full spectrum of learning, utilizing language, writing and math skills while exploring science, history and art in diverse and unique ways. While we do incorporate functional reading, writing and math skills, many families support the practice of these skills in the home. It is important for each homeschooling family to determine what aspects of education are most valuable. It is entirely up to the individual family how to relate with Soul to Soil as part of their homeschool or unschooling strategy.

Do Soul to Soil teachings meet state standards?

As you may have gathered already by reading our philosophy, Soul to Soil is a one-of-a-kind program; we are not focused on following state academic standards. Legally speaking, Florida is a very flexible and free state when it comes to homeschooling and unschooling so there are very few standards placed upon parents with regard to curriculum. Ultimately, it is up to each family to decide how they relate to Soul to Soil.
